Buisness Incubation Offer
A business incubation service is being provided by the Business Centre at 'The Workspace', where there is a dedicated area comprising of an open plan office equipped with 4 workstations. This will serve as the physical focus for the first and most significant stage of the business incubation activity. This subsidised service is focused on local entrepreneurs, social and community enterprises as well as 'green' businessess.
Business Incubation Support
The business incubation support is divided into 3 main elements
- Space
- Equipment
- Business Development Support
All three of these elements are heavily discounted during the business incubation period. The details of the offer are outlined below:
Stage One (first 6 months)
- Provided with a dedicated workstation (consisting of a desk, pedestal and chair) for a 6 month period at £40 plus VAT per month.
- Provided with basic office furniture ( incl desk and cupboard).
- Access to PC (headphones must be worn when listening to audio).
- Phone line - internal line is free, otherwise £10 plus VAT per month, plus the cost of phone calls.
- Web access is free.
- Assistance will be provided to incubatees to clarify their business rate liability.
- Sign posting for one to one business coaching and advice (minimum of 8 hours per month).
Stage Two (months 7 - 12)
Incubatees can choose to remain in the open plan office or move into a serviced, furnished office where available. The rent will be staircased as follows:
- Months 7 - 9 pay 50% of the market rent.
- Months 9 - 12 pay 70% of the market rent.
